Dr. Guerra brings more than 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, working in Research and Development and Regulatory Affairs. She has managed several successful regulatory submissions to Health Canada and the United States (US) Food and Drug Administration (FDA), including Investigational New Drugs (INDs), Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDAs), and New Drug Applications (NDAs). Dr. Guerra has a strong understanding of quality and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), which she leverages when implementing Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) strategy. In her current role as Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs at SGS Nutrasource, she provides scientific and regulatory support on existing projects, as well as during the evaluation of new business opportunities. As Scientific & Technical Committee Lead and Regulatory Committee Lead, Paula works closely with the Global Prebiotic Association (GPA). 

Dr. Guerra holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry by the University of Barcelona. She studied emerging contaminants and their impact on the environment and humans. She is a published author of 25 peer-reviewed journal articles and two book chapters.

A result-oriented professional in business development and marketing, Joanna brings over 20 years of international experience in the para-pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical fields, food packaging, functional food ingredients and dietary supplement industries.

Her numerous responsibilities for Canadian, NA, EMEA, and SEA market developments reflected her ability in quick market understanding and specific strategies applied for a winning outcome. She is a team player and relies on the key allies and partners to move initiatives forward. Her language skills in English, French, Polish, German, and Spanish help with a strong relationship building.

In her Senior Account Executive role Joanna Wozniak will contribute to grow SGS Nutrasource’s success and position as a leading CRO by developing new business in clinical trials services in the dietary supplement and natural health products industries.
