The Product Analytics Division

The Product Analytics Division (PAD) specializes in product testing to ensure compliance with internationally recognized standards and to ensure products contain adequate levels of active ingredients that offer health benefits.

The PAD offers a wide range of analytical services including active ingredient analysis, contaminant testing, stability testing, nutritional profiling, IFOS™ Program testing for fish oils and IKOS™ Program testing for krill oils.

Through our Health Canada Establishment Licence we follow and comply with cGMPs, and our laboratory programs use the following methods where appropriate: USP, USEPA, AOCS, AOAC, WHO and ICH.

Analytical Capabilities

Our analytical services include:

Active ingredient identification and potency: GC, HPLC, spectrophotometry, LCMS, GCMS, microscopy, IR spectrum, HPLC-MS
Nutritional profiling: Nutrition facts table (Canada and U.S.), dietary supplement facts panel (U.S.), antioxidant activity
Shelf life and stability testing according to ICH guidelines: real-time and accelerated shelf-life and stability, product characteristics evaluation
Prop 65 testing
Contaminant and heavy metal testing: HRMS, LCMS, ICPMS, cold vapour AAS
