- Completed 5 of the 6 systematic scientific literature reviews ever commissioned for Agriculture
and Agri-Food Canada for the investigation of food-health relationships;
- Worked with both large and small food and beverage companies to navigate the complex regulatory
environment surrounding functional foods and beverages;
- Completed numerous Health Canada Product Licence Applications for food-type natural health
products;
- Completed over 50 human clinical feeding trials involving foods, beverages and food-type natural
health products;
- Completed a 5-month laxation and feeding study which resulted in a Novel Fibre Claim from Health
Canada across the majority of fibre applications;
- Completed the Pulse and Cardiovascular Health expert panel review in June 2010, hosted by the
University of Toronto’s Program in Food Safety, Nutrition and Regulatory Affairs on behalf of
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada;
- Participated in the expert panel review for the systematic scientific literature review on Soy
and Cardiovascular disease;
- Been recognized by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada as the industry standard for the completion
of systematic scientific literature reviews for the food industry.
